Expect to hear exclusive blends and mixes of her singles, masterfully executed by Diplo himself. The styles flow smoothly from everything under the sun: dirty south, club, classic cuts, dance tracks, dancehall, dubstep, reggae and more. What's also cool is that although she's signed to a big label like Downtown, this is a Mad Decent pressing. So props to Diplo for making this happen. 2008'i avcuna alan Santogold kankası Diplo ile işbirliğini son sürat sürdürüyor. Top Rankig adlı albümle sevişen ikili remix öyle olmaz böyle olur diyor. İşin ilginç yanıysa Santogold'un idolü M.I.A.'nın da Diplo ile 2004 yılında Piracy Funds Terrorism adlı remix ötesi bir albüm kaydetmesi.. ..kızımız kabul ediyorsa problem yok.. Santo'nun The Clash'in Guns of Brixton'ına kendi memleketi Brooklyn'den getirdiği yorumsa, derler ya, anlatılmaz yaşanır..

The Helio Sequence solisti Brandon Summers sesini kaybeder, yeniden sesini bulmaya çalışır, üzerine çalıştığı yeni ses eskisinden çiğ halde geri döner. Nöbeti devralan yeni vokal tekniği ekibin hiç olmadığı kadar hamlaşmasına yarar. Keep Your Eyes Ahead adlı albümle ekipte her şey yerli yerinde, daha az gürültü, daha az efekt ve vokal tekniği olmasına karşın daha hisli şarkılar bu kez. KYEA'dan yayılan dinamik huzur duygusu rafine My Bloody Valentine sound'u yerine R.E.M. sularına yakın, uyuşuk parçalar yeni kalkanın zindeliği gibi daha doygun.

Yine tek kişilik orkestara, yine genç bir dahi, yine acı şarkılar yarım tebessümler, yine dram biraz melodram. Get Well Soon adıyla müzik yapan Konstantin Gropper adlı 25'lik Alman müzisyen, Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon adlı debut albümün her köşesi ile kendisi ilgilenip senenin başyapıtlarından birisini kapıyor. Da rol çalarak. İlk dinleyişte yaşıtı -neredeyse mükemmel- Patrick Wolf ile sorunlu abisi Thom Yorke arasında kaybolduğu izlenimi veren Gropper onların bıraktığı kanı ağzına çalarak şarkılarını söylüyor. Makyajsız Wolf, markete düşmemiş Yorke dışında bazen Cave bazen Arcade Fire bazen Sufjan bazen Black Heart Procession bazen Bright Eyes bazen Beirut bazen Waits. Evvela problem albümdeki yakışıklı sound. Cila izi yüzeyi göz kamaştırıcı gösterse de zeminin karakteri belli belirsiz. Hani bir sırrı var da bir türlü söyleyemiyor gibi adamın müziği. Çoğu an duygudan ziyade formüle bağlanmış. Orijinallik meselesinde işin var Get Well Soon! Herkes olamazsın. Nüfus kağıdını kendisi doldurmuş sanki. Üniversitede popüler kültür okuyan Gropper'ın pop kültürle oynaması gibi. Şarkılarda, vokalde herkesi kullanmış. 90 sonları ve 2000'lerin best of'u adeta. Madolyonun diğer yüzü ise güzelden de güzel. Albüm adı gibi ağarlaşmış kafalara kabullenilen depresyonun sonundaki baharı müjdeliyor. Koyu yoğunluk iyileşmeye evriliyor. Hayata attırdığı kara ağıtlarla senin ağıtların aşk yapıyor adeta. Recorded and mixed in 7 days and featuring only voice, strings and piano, “Wilderness” is the new album from Brett Anderson and heralds an amazing new chapter in his life. The album will be released this autumn but Brett will preview the record live this Monday, July 7 at London’s Mermaid Theatre, where he will be accompanied onstage by cellist Amy Langley and special guest Emmanuelle Seigner, both of whom feature on the album.

Everything they did was immaculate and fitted into a glorious lineage encompassing Bowie, T.Rex, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Roxy Music – not in sound but in inspiration and that peculiarly English sense of otherness, of being on the outside, of playing around within pop’s often limited strictures. Throughout his career it would be fair to say that Brett Anderson has never done anything by halves. At strategic points he has performed such a volte- face with his music that it has sometimes been hard for fans and critics to know what he is going to do next. This record is no exception, and is the most astounding record Brett has made in his entire career.
His first record, the era-defining ‘Suede’, became the soundtrack to a new generation, a generation disaffected by much of the music and culture around it, and one hungry for the visceral thrills intrinsic in the best timeless pop. They found it in Suede who would come to be the group who informed not only their vast audience but the whole of the music industry, creating a seismic shift away from the domination of American rock music in the UK.
From then on, Brett Anderson would display an intelligence and sense of artistry which would single him and his group out from the herds who followed. A tellingly dramatic shift in personnel on the eve of their brilliantly grandiose second album ‘Dog Man Star” threatened to derail them but they returned with a new vigour and focus and became even more successful than ever. For a while they were imperious, ruling the charts and the music press with a sense of experimentation and style which was completely their own.

When the group split Brett reunited with ex Suede guitarist Bernard Butler to form The Tears, and their album “Here Come The Tears” was released in 2005. Brett also collaborated with Stina Nordenstam and Jane Birkin.
In 2006, he released his debut solo album, the intensely personal “Brett Anderson”, which captured an artist at a turning point in his life. Of course the gorgeous melodies were still there but this time they were coupled to lyrics which showed an artist coming to terms with huge life changes and new experiences. This was an altogether different artist from the one who had so adroitly captured various other lives through a looking glass in his earlier work. The focus was moving inwards.
And now comes “Wilderness”, the most haunting record you will hear all year. Detailing a love affair, the record displays all the heightened emotions of love and thus is joyous, bleak, euphoric, and reflective – and very beautiful. It’s a record that is intense and stands outside of the mainstream and is all the better for it. Like all classic albums, its an album Brett Anderson had to make at this point in his life.

Uptown grubun erotik yönünü dinleyicye tekrar hatırlatmak, reklam müziğini aşamayan, kiç bozumunda takılı kalan bir şarkı. Her seferinde kafayapıcılar için müzik yaptığını söyleyen Gillespie bu sevdası Glory of Love'da tavan yapıyor. Suicide Bomb ekibin parodisi, Zombie Man sadece Black Crowes'ı özletmeye yaramış. Beautiful Summer alkolik rock star'lar için üstünü başını parçalayan kızlar için yazılmış adeta. I Love to Hurt (You Love To Be Hurt) her Primal Scream albümünde bingo/zirve olan düet şarkının bu albümdeki ikramiyesi. CSS güzeli Lovefoxxx ile Gillespie söylememiş adeta sevişmiş. Yılın en iyilerinden. Over and Over, albümle alakasız, Super Furry Animals olmaya çalıştığı ama olamadığı bir iş. Hahay. Necro Hex Blues her haliyle ortamı yakar. Queens of the Stone Age yakışıklısı Josh Homme ile kaydedilen Necro Hex Blues mükemmel.
